Energy transition
Energy is both a driver of immense economic growth and increasing environmental damage. We harness our expertise in power systems, resource economics, stakeholder engagement and integrated environmental assessments to support governments, communities and the private sector to advance understanding and delivery of the system change required for the energy transition.
Energy transition policy & planning reform
We are regional leaders in science-to-policy processes that enable inclusive, evidence-based reform to the policy and planning environment. Our capacities in system modelling, impact assessment and political economy analysis allow us to work closely with ASEAN member countries to develop strategies, reform regulations and plan for decarbonisation.
Multi-stakeholder platforms & intergovernmental dialogues
System change, like the energy transition, requires effective dialogue between diverse stakeholders at various levels. As a trusted advisor, we work with government stakeholders to help them prepare for major intergovernmental processes, including COP and ASEAN Meeting of Energy Ministers (AMEM), and facilitate major regional dialogues (Mekong – Australia Energy Dialogues) and inter-sectoral national processes. We help partners identify outcomes, map stakeholders and design deliberative processes that target mindset shifts and practical policy reform.
Water-energy – climate nexus
The push towards sustainable development has created a growing interdependence on both resource utilisation and policy domains that govern their management. We use nexus approaches to understand the connections between energy, water and environment resource utilisation, and work with governments to undertake reform management.
Industry leadership
Our industry leaders are known for their deep expertise and knowledge in their field. They bring a thorough understanding of industry trends, technologies and best practices.
