Since 2017, EVN has established a comprehensive project to transform the NLDC into a financially independent single-member limited liability company.
On 6 June 2023, in a dispatch sent to the Minister of Industry and Trade (MOIT) along with relevant governmental bodies' leaders to order drastic measures to ensure electricity supply, the Vietnamese Prime Minister, Mr Pham Minh Chinh, requested MOIT to promptly take the management of the National Load Dispatch Centre (NLDC).
