Aalga Goolil – Indigenous owned power station for Djarindjin and Lombadina communities
Alluvium, through AMPERES and Amboranj Power, played a key role in developing and planning the Djarindjin Community Power Project, delivering technical expertise to support renewable energy, local capacity, and First Nations leadership.

The Aalga Goorlil ‘Sun Turtle’ Djarindjin Community Power Project is a flagship renewable energy initiative led by Djarindjin Aboriginal Corporation to meet its ambitious net zero emissions target and supply 82% of local electricity needs with renewables by 2030. Central to this goal is the construction and operation of a solar and battery power station owned entirely by the Corporation, designed to reduce reliance on diesel generation, lower energy costs, and promote climate resilience. The project also includes a power purchase agreement with Horizon Power to balance remaining energy needs.
As a key delivery partner, Alluvium (through AMPERES) — through its joint venture Amboranj Power Pty Ltd — contributed to project development, planning, and technical expertise alongside other partners. This First Nations-owned and led project not only strengthens energy security and environmental outcomes for the Djarindjin and Lombadina communities, but also generates sustainable revenue to support essential services, expands Aboriginal employment and training opportunities, and builds long-term local capacity across the Dampier Peninsula.
